To North Port real estate brokers and residents:
I want to personally let you know that Sarasota County regrets any confusion or inconvenience you may have experienced as a result of a processing error that led to the posting of incorrect North Port lot prices that appeared on the Fisher Auction Company website from Dec. 23-27.
In addition to the pricing errors, some lots scheduled for sale during Sessions 2 and 3 were mistakenly included in the Session 1 group.
The lot pricing information was corrected on Dec. 28 and the minimum values are posted for the Session 1 on-line auction, which will be conducted Jan. 19-26. The website is www.fisherauction.com.
I want to assure you that the minimum prices as assigned by Sarasota County’s contract appraiser, Roger Hettema of Hettema, Saba & Walch, have not changed. In addition, Sarasota County, Fisher Auction Company and Hettema, Saba & Walch have instituted additional internal controls to assure the accuracy of any future information about the escheated lot sale.
The lots and prices currently listed only include lots to be sold during the first of three online auction “sessions.” Some lots with lower minimum prices are scheduled for online Sessions 2 and 3, which begin Jan. 30 and end Feb. 20. There also will be a live auction Feb. 28 at the North Port Performing Arts Center.
Sarasota County and Fisher Auction urge you not to rely on any price, lot or parcel identification number, auction grouping or other data posted from Dec. 23-27.
Again, Sarasota County and Fisher Auction Company regret the incorrect posting and any misunderstanding it may have caused about lot prices.
For further information, please contact Fisher Auction Company at (888) 425-2322.
Sincerely,
Larry Arnold Public Works Manager, Business Operations Sarasota County |
